How jackpot games work

A jackpot game is an ordinary game with an extra prize attached. A fixed jackpot is a set amount defined by the game's rules. A progressive jackpot grows because a small share of each qualifying stake is added to a shared pool, which resets to a seed amount after it is awarded.

The jackpot is triggered by the rules published inside the game — usually a specific symbol combination or a randomly entered bonus round. Some games require a particular stake or a side bet to qualify; the game's own help screen states this, and it is worth reading before the first round.
